About Me
I figure if your taking the time out of your busy day to browse my site, then I can take a little of my time and let you know more about me. My name is Stacy. I reside in Florida (the not so sunny state). I have lived here for going on 6 years. I was born and raised in Pennsylvania. I am 38 years young, I have a 16 yr old son, and a 26 yr old step-daughter. Both are really great kids. I truly have been blessed. I am married to Nick, who I swear is the greatest man on the face of the earth. I have been married now for 14 years. We met in January and were married May 20th of the same year, and we are still going strong. I love all kinds of animals, my favorite is monkeys, ( I collect everything & anything if it has a monkey on it) My favorite color is yellow, cuz it is bright & sunny. I am also addicted to reality shows!
About my embroidery/sewing:
I was never a sewer, nor was I interested in sewing. Growing up though, mom made all my clothes and dresses. Even through my teen years, she would customize stuff. (EX: we went to the thrift store, bought "like new" jeans, she would bring them home, take the back pocket off, and sew the "Jordache emblem" on the pocket, they were my not so fancy Jordache jeans LOL. Yes they were embarrassing years, but looking back now I wouldn't have it any other way.
I bought a sewing machine around 6 years ago, not knowing the first thing about sewing. I wanted to sew one little thing, and my hands dont touch a needle & thread, so I of course had to buy a machine. I bought the most expensive one Walmart had ((thinking I was going to take it back anyway )). Well 6 years later I still have the same machine. My very first project was a pillowcase and to my surprise when finished, it actually looked like a pillowcase, I have since then made curtains, more pillow cases, a couple of quilts, some purses and little (and not so little) gifts for family and friends. Nothing is more satisfying to me then the look on their faces when they receive their gift. That is worth the price of admission to me.
I have always enjoyed making all kinds of crafts, even dragged my son into a few of them, most of which he wont admit to. I am always looking for new, fun & exciting things to make. I take great pride in everything I make.
To me, nothing is more personal and thought of, then a special one of a kind personalized gift. It is very easy these days, to just go and buy something, with all the "shop on tv" channels we have, it couldn't get any easier, but is it really special or unique?
~So basically here, I make the item, but yet YOU personalize it. So your thoughts and your ideas are still 100% yours. You can't get more creative than that~!
Well, I am done here otherwise I will just continue to babble on and on. So sit back, grab your choice of beverage (I am not one to judge ) and have a look around. If you have any comments, ideas, suggestions, questions, or anything else, jot me a note on the contact me page. I hope you enjoy my site and return time and time again.
